This is a specialty practice, limited solely to the diagnosis and management of breast disease. We offer mammogram review, breast cancer risk assessment, in-office diagnostics including ultrasound and ultrasound guided biopsy, breast health education and counselling, stereotactic biopsy, non-surgical in-office destruction of benign masses (cryoablation), and minimally-invasive surgery for both benign and malignant disease, all with a commitment to competent, compassionate care.
Dr. Chiantella is an experienced, Board Certified surgeon, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. Her degrees are from Georgetown University (BS, 1979), and Wake Forest University School of Medicine (MD, 1983). She was Chief Resident in Surgery at the Wake Forest University/North Carolina Baptist Hospital Medical Center before entering practice in Leesburg in 1989. The practice is a member of the National Consortium of Breast Centers, and is one of only five breast-only surgery practices in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
